Writing From the Inside

My friend Susannah determined that there needed to be a big shout out of LOVE for Jared Padalecki, and so she created this post at her LJ so that people could have a chance to say how much they adore this man! Here is the link:

This is what I said:

Dear Jared,

I’m sure you don’t know, or maybe you do, how long it took me to feel comfortable spelling your last name. I am, as anyone can tell you, the world’s worst speller. It is entirely due to you and everything that you are that I took the time to learn the spelling of it – and when I’m not certain, I still double check it because that’s how important it is. You deserve the respect of having your name spelled right each time, and every time, that it appears in print.

You also deserve to be deliriously happy 24/7 for the rest of eternity for the happiness you bring me and other fans. And it’s not just that you look really really good in a simple t-shirt and jeans (which you DO), or that you have the brightest smile (which you also do), the cutest freaking dimples EVER…I could go on and on being very wicked and shallow about how cool it is to watch you move and to stand still and to look and gesture – it’s like watching art in motion. And I love watching you be Sam – you’ve crawled inside that character’s skin and made him amazing.

But mostly you deserve to be happy simply for being who you are: a good person who is kind to people who has the amazing ability to make those around him feel comfortable and at ease.

The one time I met you, you looked right at me, looked me right in the eye, and seemed totally prepared to stand there (at midnight in a back alley after working for 8 hours) talking about how cool Vancouver was, and how fun it would be to move there. Like I was somebody you knew. What a way to treat a person! From the sounds of it, that’s how you treat EVERYONE, and so that qualifies you to be happy FOREVER.

Take the BEST care of yourself, okay?
